Juvenile Suicide in Confinement: A National Survey

Results from the first national survey on juvenile suicides in confinement (110 between 1995 and 1999) are presented. An executive summary and the following five chapters comprise this report: introduction — literature review; the two phases of this survey; demographic findings of the juvenile suicide data — personal characteristics of the victim, suicide incident characteristics, and juvenile facility characteristics; special considerations; and conclusion and final thoughts.
