The Impact of Drug Treatment and Testing Orders on Offending: Two-Year Reconviction Results

A summary of findings about the impact of Drug Treatment and Testing Orders (DTTOs) on "persistent acquisitive offending" is provided. Topics covered by this report include: seven key points; Criminal Justice Act 1A(6) schemes; method; reconviction rates for the DTTO offenders; two-year actual and expected reconviction rates; rates by outcome of order; trend in conviction rates; comparison with 1A(6) schemes; and who succeeds on DTTO.
