Results from a research study of this Christian pre-release program are supplied and analyzed. This report contains the following sections: executive summary; background; research methodology for this evaluation; findings regarding participation in the InnerChange Freedom Initiative (IFI) reducing recidivism, mentoring and aftercare, reasons for IFI graduates having lower recidivism rates, and the IFI environment; spiritual transformation -- a developmental process; mentors matter but it's hard to do; what is known about IFI recidivists; findings summary; and discussion of the findings.
