Results from an evaluation of 25 boot camp planning grants that were a part of the Corrections Boot Camp Initiative (1995) are presented. This report has an executive summary and the following chapters: introduction; current trends in correctional boot camps; methodology; program documentation results; survey results; structured telephone interview results; lessons learned; and conclusions and policy recommendations. Overall, "correctional boot camp planning activities consistently contributed to the development of viable alternatives to long-term incarceration."
