Jail Diversion for Persons with Co-Occurring Disorders: Final Report

Results from a study of the mental health crisis intervention system for Multnomah County, Oregon are presented. In addition to an executive summary, this report contains the following sections: project description; results for baseline differences, intake criteria, treatment history, 3- and 12-month outcomes, outcome measures for recidivism and for alcohol use, drug use, mental health functioning, service utilization, social support, and homelessness; conclusions and impact; and future directions. One observation noted that the jail group (control) has a lower recidivism rate than that for the diversion group. Accession Number: 017737
