A directory of facilities that utilize the direct supervision concept of jail design and management is provided. Organized by state, entries provide the following information: facility name, address, description and status, year opened, contact person, facility capacity, direct supervision pod size, maximum inmates per officer, non-direct pods, direct supervision dormitory pods, disciplinary or high-security beds, and notes. A searchable database comprised of information published in this directory is available on the NIC website (see URL/2 below).
