Guide for the Selection of Chemical and Biological Decontamination Equipment for Emergency First Responders: NIJ Guide 103-00, Vols. 1-2

The selection and utilization of chemical and biological equipment in the areas of detention, personal protection, decontamination, and communication are explored. Volume I focuses upon selection, while VolumeII presents decontamination equipment data sheets for equipment talked about in Volume I. Sections comprising Volume I include: introduction; description of chemical agents, toxic industrial materials, and biological agents; overview of CB decontamination; introduction to CB decontaminants; overview of emergency first responder initiatives for CB decontamination; selection factors; and decontamination equipment evaluation. Volume II contains three sections: introduction; market survey; and data fields.
