Due to energy savings measures, a casual dress policy was developed for June through September. "Director's Instruction #177, Casual Dress" provides guidance for wearing casual business dress as identified in the accompanying "Department Order: 503 -- Employee Grooming and Dress, Section 503.06 -- Casual Friday." Additional procedures included in the Department Order are: grooming standards -- all personnel; uniform specifications -- uniformed correctional series; dress standards -- specialty uniformed personnel, institutional non-uniformed personnel, and central office personnel; and grooming and dress committee.
