Treatment Alternatives in the Criminal Court: A Process Evaluation of the Bronx County Drug Court

An implementation evaluation of this center's first 18 months of operation is presented. Sections of this report, following an executive summary, include: introduction; defining the court mission and structure; screening and enrolling defendants; the court's caseload; monitoring treatment; treating the addiction; Bronx Treatment Court (BxTC) outcomes; conclusion; and four appendixes -- key components of a treatment court, BxTC sanctions chart, treatment programs, and research instruments. Of those individuals who entered the program at inception, 75% are still active participants. Accession Number: 017099
