Topics discussed include: the role, responsibilities, and duties of the firearms instructor; civil liability; police liability; legal issues; range operations; range control evaluation; gun handling -- firearms safety rules, basic shooting principles, fundamentals, shooting stances, proper trigger control, and shooting deficiencies; weapon maintenance -- revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, and shotguns; course of fire development; range development; and exposure to airborne lead dust.
