Community sentencing activities for calendar year 2000 are reported. This report contains information on: the legislation and the criminal justice system; statewide goals; implementation; assessments; sentencing; resource allocation; Department of Corrections reception trends; and council narratives. Some statistics include: 66% of community sentenced offenses are related to drugs and alcohol; annualized cost per offender is $1,100; and substance abuse treatment is 58% of expenditures.
