Proactive Community Supervision: A Plan for Making Maryland Communities Safer

The path that this division will take to adopt the proactive community supervision (PCS) model is described. In addition to an executive summary and an introduction, this report looks at: parole and probation supervision -- now; the PCS Model -- not "business as usual"; changing the way the division works; information technology -- the key to success; tools to make supervision more effective; ensuring public safety; performance measures and expected outcomes; and a timetable for transforming parole and probation.
