SCI Laurel Highlands (Somerset County) is the only correctional facility in Pennsylvania specifically designed to meet the needs of older and physically challenged inmates while also serving a general population of inmates. An overview of the Geriatric Inmate Program provides information on programming such as medical services, substance abuse programs, psychological services, employment, life skills, recreation, education, and religious activities.
