This report examines state population and cost data to estimate the fiscal impact of illegal aliens residing in California. The study focuses on the costs for education, Medicaid benefits and adult incarceration of illegal aliens. It also estimates revenues attributable to illegal aliens. The report discusses the inconsistencies of various studies, assumptions and methodologies used to collect this data and federal efforts aimed at improving cost and revenue estimates.
