Jails Division
:: HOME > Overview > Divisions > The Jails Division's primary constituents consist of more than 3,000 facilities operated by local governments, as well as regional jails, state-operated jails, and Indian country jails.

All Division program staff are former jail practitioners and have a working knowledge of jails. Staff have worked in jails ranging in capacity from 12 to 1,000 beds and have experience in jail administration, inmate classification, inmate services, and jail standards compliance.

The Division welcomes phone calls from jail practitioners and staff from jail-related organizations about its services (1-800-995-6423).
